Meta new update to increase lead quality

The good news is that one simple setting can help fix this issue. Plus, Meta has released a new update to make sure you don’t get outdated contact details.

New SMS verification feature for Facebook Lead Ads
If you’re getting leads from Facebook Lead Ads but can’t reach them, there are two main reasons. First, some people submit forms without real interest. Second, the contact details might be outdated because Facebook auto-fills old information.
Good news: Meta has introduced SMS verification for Lead Ads! This new feature enables users to verify their phone numbers using SMS codes, adding a two-step authentication layer to your lead forms. Once enabled, anyone filling out your form will need to complete an SMS verification step before submitting their details.
You can turn on SMS verification for your Facebook Lead Ad forms. First, make sure the Phone Number field is required (only email is required by default). Then, go to your form settings and find the option “Require SMS verification to submit form.” Switch it ON to enable SMS verification.
This feature may not be available for everyone yet. If you don’t see it in Ads Manager, don’t worry just check again later, as it might be added soon.
